Mental health/chemical dependency
The benefits for mental health services under Samaritan Select provide coverage for mental health conditions the same as any other medical condition, except as noted in our Member Handbook. For complete information please click here.
Authorization requirements
Outpatient treatment for mental health and chemical dependency allows you to directly access providers and does not require pre-authorization. However, your preferred provider must have an approved treatment plan in order to be paid if you exceed ten visits. Approvals are coordinated between the provider and Samaritan Select.
Chemical dependency and mental health inpatient and residential treatment requires pre-authorization.
